Rapid Response Grants
The Memorial Fund provides grants up to $10,000 of urgent support to communities responding to real-time threats, trauma, and/or harassment related to manifestations of oppression.
We are deeply concerned for those who are targeted by White Supremacy, sexism, xenophobia, and homophobic actions and language. As an organization, we aspire to meet hatred with love and action, divisiveness with community-building and inclusion, and ignorance with education and support. As communities in Connecticut continue to organize to oppose systemic oppression we want to offer support.
These funds will help local groups advocate for and invest in healing, well-being, repair, and joy work that actively works to dismantle oppression while building equity and full inclusion.
We understand the time-sensitivity of these requests. Applications will be reviewed, and if approved, payment will be processed as quickly as possible.
Responsive Grants are not intended to support the on-going work of an organization and are only available to those groups doing work within Connecticut. All applicants must have a 501(c)3 or be fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)3 organization.
