We know that funder shifts have real impacts on organizations and the communities we serve. We are committed to remaining as transparent and supportive as possible throughout this process. No, our commitment to our mission is unwavering. We are just looking to evolve our work and approach in a way that is strategic, responsive to the times, and inclusive of community insights.
We find ourselves in a unique and challenging socio-political context, and we know we must move quickly, strategically, and courageously to effect change alongside others. We also know we can’t do everything. We are seeking to be bold and disciplined in our approach while ensuring we serve our mission in a strategic way that reflects the insight and wisdom of those most impacted. This is a chance for us to learn about the ways we have been helpful and what is possible and necessary.
Our design partner, Frontline Solutions, has worked with staff and trustees to generate a diverse list of current and past partners, as well as community members who will be invited to participate in either a survey, interviews, focus groups and/or dream and build design sessions were participants will have an opportunity to develop ideas and scenarios to be considered for the Fund’s new iteration of strategy. We anticipate that the majority of these engagements will occur between March and May.
Our strategy evolution and new initiatives are expected to be completed in 2027.
