Ending police brutality, the criminalization of youth of color and the militarization of our communities is critical in building the safe, supportive and quality schools all young people deserve.
We add our voice to the growing demand for justice for those murdered by police and to invite other organizations to join us in directly confronting racism and white supremacy within ourselves, our organizations, and communities.
This epidemic of the murder of Black people stems from the institutional legacies of slavery, Jim Crow, and our nations’ failure to fully acknowledge the depth and breadth of racism in our country. We are working to find new ways to directly confront racism and poverty and bring equity to philanthropic relationships.
We welcome partners in this shared work of addressing the root causes of our biggest social problems.
