Community Organizing for Equity in Education Grant Opportunity 2017

These grants will provide operations funding to advance community organizing efforts focused on:

  • Eliminating structural barriers to positive educational experiences and opportunities
  • Changing neighborhood conditions that adversely affect the social, economic and health outcomes of residents, and
  • Transforming education systems such that students can attain lasting prosperity

This grant will support organizing in seven communities: Bridgeport, Hartford, New Britain, New Haven, New London, Meriden, and Waterbury.

Grant Application Process

  • Step 1: Initial submission of application due August 21, 2017
  • Step 2: Interviews (occurring between September 1 to 30, 2017)
  • Step 3: Proposal (due on October 30, notifications of awards by December 20, 2017)

Please note: After Step One, only some applicants will be invited for interviews. After interviews, only some applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal.Because we value your time, we’ve designed this process to minimize the amount of time and energy that is required of you at each step.
