Make the Road Connecticut (MRCT) launched in December 2014 when Bridgeport residents learned about the Make the Road New York (MRNYC) model and began defining their own goals for building the membership of their new organization and addressing the needs of low wage workers, students and immigrants in their community.

(Collaborative Agent: Center for Popular Democracy) MRCT’s Parent Organizing Project seeks to: 1) Build content knowledge in identified issue areas; 2) Implement an advocacy campaign; 3) Foster public sector accountability; 4) Promote voter education and registration; 5) Host candidate forums; and 6) Support parent meetings with local officials.
