Enfield KITE is a community collaborative that includes the Town of Enfield, Enfield Public Schools, parents, and concerned citizens, educators, early care providers, pediatricians, family-serving organizations, businesses and funders. Their purpose is to ensure that all of Enfield's children are healthy, safe, and happy; live in thriving families; and are ready to develop the skills they need to succeed in school and flourish in the 21st century.


Exploratory Grants: Advocates Inspiring Equity
"People Empowering People”: A Multi-Cultural and Multi-Generational Approach$25,000

(Collaborative Agent: Community Health Resources) Enfield KITE will adapt the People Empowering People (PEP) curriculum to make it culturally appropriate for the African American, Arabic, Hispanic, Indian, and Somali Bantu communities in Enfield. Members from each of these communities will be trained as PEP trainers and will adapt the curriculum to the customs of their culture. The modified courses will be delivered and evaluated.
