Exploratory Grants: Advocates Inspiring Equity
Equity in Education - Youth Leadership Organizing Project$25,000

The Equity in Education - Youth Leadership Organizing Project will design and implement a 3-6 month program for youth that will train them in community organizing. They will learn many skills useful for community organizing through direct field work, including story-telling, power mapping, interviewing, conducting research, and identifying actions that can effectively address equity in education. Youth participants will also explore how structural racism historically operated and currently operates within local, regional, and state systems.
