Congregations Organized for a New Connecticut (CONECT)   2016
Congregations Organized for a New Connecticut (CONECT) launched in 2011 with an assembly of 1500 people. Since it began, CONECT has helped pass legislation allowing undocumented youth to get in state tuition rates at state universities and colleges, legislation allowing undocumented residents to get drivers licenses, and legislation restricting the use of restraint and seclusion in Connecticut schools.


Exploratory Grants: Parent Organizing
CONECT Parent Organizing Project$100,000

(Collaborative Agent: Center for Popular Democracy) CONECT will work with schools identified by families in particular churches in Bridgeport, New Haven, Stamford and Milford. Families will identify issues and develop school based parent leadership teams.
