CONECT Parent Organizing Project$100,000

(Grantee: Congregations Organized for a New Connecticut (CONECT)) CONECT will work with schools identified by families in particular churches in Bridgeport, New Haven, Stamford and Milford. Families will identify issues and develop school based parent leadership teams.

Make the Road Connecticut Parent Organizing Project$100,000

(Grantee: Make the Road Connecticut) MRCT’s Parent Organizing Project seeks to: 1) Build content knowledge in identified issue areas; 2) Implement an advocacy campaign; 3) Foster public sector accountability; 4) Promote voter education and registration; 5) Host candidate forums; and 6) Support parent meetings with local officials.
